Course Overview
This two-day Simulation POCUS course is designed to move clinicians beyond normal image acquisition into abnormal case recognition and clinical decision-making.
Participants work through structured simulation stations covering cardiac, lung, FAST trauma, renal, hepatobiliary, and ultrasound-guided invasive procedure scenarios.
The course combines focused teaching, realistic case-based simulations, hands-on scanning, and instructor feedback to help participants recognize pathology, interpret ultrasound findings, and apply POCUS safely in acute care settings.

Simulation workflow, scanning safety, image optimization, and clinical integration of POCUS.
2. Cardiac Cases
Simulation-based recognition of pericardial effusion, tamponade, reduced LV function, RV strain, and shock patterns.
3. Lung Cases
Recognition of pneumothorax, pleural effusion, consolidation, B-lines, and respiratory failure patterns.
4. FAST Trauma Cases
Simulation-based FAST interpretation in trauma, free fluid detection, and clinical decision-making.
5. Renal Abnormal Cases
Hydronephrosis, renal obstruction patterns, and renal ultrasound interpretation in acute presentations.
6. Hepatobiliary Abnormal Cases
Gallstones, cholecystitis indicators, biliary dilation, and abnormal hepatobiliary ultrasound findings.
7. Ultrasound-Guided Invasive Procedures
Needle visualization, safe procedural approach, vascular access, pleural procedures, and procedural simulation using phantoms.
8. Case-Based Integration
Multi-system POCUS interpretation and clinical decision-making in simulated acute care scenarios.
