Excellence in Practice. Not Just Theory.
The POCUS Fellowship is built for clinicians who need a structured, clinically relevant pathway beyond isolated workshops. It connects ultrasound concepts with bedside reasoning, image interpretation, case discussion, and applied acute care decision-making.
Participants progress through foundational POCUS before selecting a specialized pathway aligned with emergency medicine or critical care practice.
Two Structured Modules Across 48 Weeks
The pathway begins with a common foundation, followed by advanced specialization according to clinical practice needs.
Common Pathway
Foundational POCUS training covering core ultrasound principles, protocol-based scanning, clinical reasoning, and image interpretation.
- Physics, knobology, artifacts, and optimization
- Lung and pleural ultrasound concepts
- eFAST and trauma-focused ultrasound workflow
- Basic cardiac ultrasound and acute care applications
- Live webinars, case discussions, and LMS learning access
Specialized Pathway
Advanced training pathway selected after the foundation module, focusing on either Emergency Medicine POCUS or Critical Care POCUS.
- Advanced ER POCUS pathway for acute emergency workflows
- Advanced Critical Care POCUS pathway for ICU and shock assessment
- Case-based progression and competency-oriented learning
- Structured assignments, image review, and discussion
- Completion requirements according to program policy
Choose Your Advanced Track
After completing the common pathway, learners select one specialized direction aligned with their practice environment.
Advanced ER POCUS
Built for emergency medicine workflows including rapid decisions, trauma pathways, procedures, pediatric acute scenarios, and case-driven algorithms.
- Advanced trauma and resuscitation POCUS
- Pediatric emergencies and acute scanning
- Nerve block and MSK acute applications
- Case-driven emergency decision-making
Advanced Critical Care POCUS
Built for ICU and acute care settings including hemodynamics, perfusion, shock profiling, multi-organ monitoring, and critical care integration.
- Echo-based hemodynamic assessment
- Fluid responsiveness and venous congestion logic
- Multi-organ monitoring and protocols
- Case interpretation and ICU integration
Designed for Acute Care Clinicians
This fellowship is intended for physicians and clinicians practicing in acute care environments who want structured POCUS development and clinically relevant ultrasound progression.
Eligible Backgrounds
- Emergency Medicine Physicians
- Critical Care and ICU Physicians
- Internal Medicine Physicians
- Anesthesiologists
- Hospital-based acute care clinicians
From Ultrasound Knowledge to Clinical Reasoning
Clinical Decision-Making
